The
40th Reunion of IHS
Class of 1970 took place August
20-22, 2010. The weather cooperated and everyone
agreed that it was a great time.
some photos of the events. We saw lots of you taking
pictures. Send them to Lorraine Manelis at
info@ihs70.org,
and we'll add them to the gallery.
The weekend started with the
traditional Friday gathering At O’Loughlin’s. Since
this is an open invitation event, it is always a
surprise as to who may attend!
The Main Event was a catered picnic
held at Camp Eastman. It was the first time the
class had this type of event and it was a roaring
success. The casual atmosphere and the abundance of
indoor/outdoor space, allowed everyone to circulate
and talk to a lot of people, renew old friendships
and make new ones. The picnic had a larger than
usual attendance with many classmates attending
their first reunion.
On Sunday, a group went on a tour of
IHS. For many, this was the first time back in 40
years. The changes made since then were
impressive. Many good memories were shared as
familiar areas were visited.
The
next reunion will be held in 2015. It will be here
before you know it! Thanks to the internet and
social media for now keeping us many of us in touch
more frequently than every five years!
We didn't get as many pictures from
the gang as we hoped, but we have a few, and you can
see them here. It's not too late to send your
pictures. If you have any questions or comments,
please send them to Lorraine Manelis at
info@ihs70.org.
Hail, hail Irondequoit!
